How Pootpad works

Compute is the backbone of AI, and POOT is its meme. Pootpad is the launchpad behind it: every launch gets locked liquidity, a fixed fee split and a marketing budget that buys hype for its community. Launching, trading, fees, creators, takeovers and marketing, in plain words.

What is POOT

Compute is the backbone of AI: the processing power behind every model that's trained and every prompt that's answered. POOT is the meme for it, com-POOT-e. It's also another word for a fart, which is what makes it stick.

Pootcoin ($POOT) is the coin behind Pootpad, on Solana. Pootpad is its launchpad: every coin launched here gets locked liquidity, a fixed fee split and a marketing budget that buys hype for its community.

Next up is Compute & AI on Pootpad. Coming soon. Code, SDKs and examples live on GitHub at github.com/pootcoinxyz.

Getting started

Pootpad launches tokens on Solana and Robinhood Chain, from one app. On Solana you launch on Pootpad's own Meteora bonding curve with a tax you pick, or as a Pump.fun coin. On Robinhood Chain each launch opens its Uniswap v4 pool in the same transaction, so the token trades from the first block.

On both chains the supply is fixed, the liquidity is locked forever, snipers pay 99% in the first 15 seconds, and every trade pays a fee (in SOL or ETH) that goes to the token's creator, its marketing budget and the platform.

Pick a chain

Pootpad opens on Solana. Switch chains in the network menu at the top (the logo next to the block number); the whole app follows: tokens, prices, charts, your wallet and your settings. This page covers Solana first, then what both chains share (the token page, marketing, social creator fees and takeovers), then the Robinhood Chain specifics.

Connect a wallet

Your wallet is your account: there is no sign-up, and Pootpad never creates, holds or sees your keys. Use Connect in the top bar.

  • Solana: Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. You need a little SOL for network fees and trades.
  • Robinhood Chain: a browser wallet (MetaMask, Rabby or any injected wallet), WalletConnect for mobile wallets, or Coinbase Wallet. You need a little ETH on Robinhood Chain for gas and trades. If your wallet is on another network, the app offers Switch network before any transaction.

The network pill

The pill in the top bar shows the latest slot (Solana) or block (Robinhood Chain), updated live. Its dot is green when Pootpad's indexer is within 20 blocks of the chain, amber above 20 blocks and red above 200 blocks or when the connection dropped. Tap it for the network name, average block time, your latency to Pootpad, the indexer status and a link to the block explorer.

Trade settings

The settings button next to the pill holds your maximum slippage (default 5%), the buy presets, the quick-buy amount on the token list and the sell percentages. They are saved in this browser only, and each chain keeps its own.

Solana

Solana is Pootpad's main chain and the one the app opens on. You launch either on Pootpad (a Meteora bonding curve with your own tax) or as a Pump.fun coin. Both get the same Pootpad features: the marketing milestones, creator fees that can go to a social account, takeovers, and hourly payouts. Your Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack) connects from the Connect button.

Launching, step by step

  1. Connect a Solana wallet with some SOL (if you switched to Robinhood Chain, switch back in the network menu).
  2. Token details: name, ticker, logo, description and links. The same for both launch types.
  3. Launch on: Pootpad (Meteora, your own tax) or Pump.fun (Pump.fun's fees, with its creator fee split locked).
  4. Economics: the tax (Pootpad only), who receives the creator fees, and your optional first buy (at most 5% of the supply).
  5. Review and sign. Your wallet signs once; the token page opens when the launch confirms.

Launching costs about 0.025 SOL in Solana rent and network fees, plus your first buy. Nothing is charged by Pootpad itself.

Launch on Pootpad (Meteora)

  • Fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens with no mint or freeze authority. 80% are sold on the curve.
  • You pick the tax, 1% to 10% (1% by default). It is charged in SOL on every buy and sell, forever, and can't be changed after launch.
  • Snipers pay a 99% fee for the first 15 seconds. Your own first buy, inside the launch transaction, pays the normal tax.
  • Your first buy is capped at 5% of the supply. The launch is co-signed by Pootpad, which only signs launches within the rules.
  • When the curve has raised its target (92 SOL), the SOL raised and the remaining 20% of the supply move into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. 100% of that liquidity is locked forever: no one, the creator included, can ever withdraw it. The two locked positions keep earning the pool's trading fee.
  • The last buy before graduation fills only what is left on the curve and refunds the rest of your SOL in the same transaction.

Where the fee goes (Meteora)

Meteora, which runs the bonding curve and the graduated pool, keeps 20% of every trading fee. Pootpad adds that share on top of your tax so the full tax still reaches you, the token's marketing and the platform: buyers pay the tax × 1.25.

1% tax
Buyers and sellers pay 1.25%: 0.25% to Meteora, 0.5% to the creator, 0.2% to marketing, 0.3% to the platform.
5% tax
Buyers and sellers pay 6.25%: 1.25% to Meteora, 2.5% creator, 1% marketing, 1.5% platform.
Of the tax
50% creator, 20% marketing (the token's milestone budget), 30% platform.
After graduation
The locked pool charges the same rate (at most 10%, Meteora's limit, so 9% and 10% taxes graduate at 10%). Its fees are split the same way.

Fees are paid out every hour: the creator share to the creator's wallet, marketing to the marketing wallet, platform to the treasury.

Launch on Pump.fun

  • A normal Pump.fun coin: it shows on Pump.fun, uses Pump.fun's curve and fees, and graduates to PumpSwap.
  • Pump.fun sets its own fee per trade (1.25% today: 0.95% to Pump.fun and 0.30% creator fee; it can change with market cap). The token page shows the current rate as the token's tax.
  • The creator fee is split in the launch transaction and locked forever (Pump.fun removes the right to change it): 50% creator, 30% marketing, 20% platform.
  • The creator half is held by the token's escrow and paid to the creator every hour, so it can follow a takeover.
  • Your first buy (at most 5% of the supply) is sent together with the launch as one Jito bundle: both land back to back in the same block, so no one can buy in between, or neither lands and nothing is charged. The bundle adds a 0.0001 SOL tip to the validator.

Trading on Solana

  • Trades are built by Pootpad and signed in your wallet; Pootpad never holds your SOL or tokens.
  • Slippage and the one-tap buy amounts are in the settings menu (the sliders icon at the top). Solana and Robinhood keep separate settings.
  • Each trade adds a small priority fee so it lands quickly when Solana is busy.
  • Prices, charts and PnL are in SOL and in US dollars at the SOL price of each trade.
  • The token page's Trade on row opens the token on GMGN, Axiom, Padre, BullX, Jupiter, Fomo and OKX (and Pump.fun for Pump tokens); Bubblemaps shows its holder clusters.

Creator fees, social accounts and takeovers

Every Solana token's creator role sits with its own escrow, a wallet only Pootpad's server can sign for. The escrow pays the creator's share to whoever the token's creator fees go to now:

  • Your wallet, by default.
  • A social account: its fees wait until the owner logs in on the Claim page and links a Solana wallet (fees older than 30 days go to marketing).
  • After a takeover: an approved applicant's wallet, after a 24-hour notice shown on the token page. Every change is kept in an audit log.

Escrow keys are never stored: each one is derived when it's needed from a master seed that only the server holds, and wiped from memory right after.

Payouts

How often
Every hour, for every Meteora pool, graduated pool and Pump.fun coin.
Smallest payout
0.001 SOL; smaller amounts wait for the next run.
Claim now
The fee recipient sees a Your creator fees card on the token page (Info tab on phones) with a Claim now button: it runs the payout for that token at once instead of at the next hourly run. Once per token every 10 minutes; anyone pressing it can only pay the wallets on record.
Creator share
To the token's current fee recipient (your wallet, a linked social account's wallet, or a takeover's new wallet).
Marketing share
To the marketing wallet, credited to the token's milestone budget in US dollars at the time it was earned.
Platform share
To the treasury.

What Pootpad can and can't do

  • It can't change a token's tax, supply or fee split after launch, and can't withdraw graduated liquidity.
  • It can't spend from the marketing wallet or the treasury: the server only knows their addresses.
  • It can't send a payout anywhere but the creator's wallet on record, the marketing wallet or the treasury.
  • It can change a token's creator-fee recipient only through a takeover (24-hour notice) or a social account's claim, and every change is logged.

Marketing milestones

A token's 20% marketing share is counted in dollars when each fee arrives. That budget buys a fixed ladder of milestones, always in this order:

  1. 1Token Enhancement Info$299
  2. 2Dex Boost 10x (12h)$99
  3. 3Dex Boost 30x (12h)$249

The +$5 buffer and statuses

A milestone is bought once the available budget (raised minus spent) covers its price plus $5. The buffer absorbs SOL and ETH price moves and payment fees between funding and purchase.

Upcoming
A later milestone; its turn hasn't come.
Funding
The budget is still short of the price. The bar shows progress towards price + $5.
Covering buffer
The price is covered, the $5 buffer not yet.
Processing
Fully funded. The team is buying it.
Completed
Bought, with its proof and what it actually cost.

If a milestone costs less than its list price, the difference stays in the budget and rolls into the next one; if it costs more, the difference comes out of the budget.

Proofs and DEX PAID

Each completed milestone links its proof (the listing, the ad or the receipt) on the token's marketing page. Once the first milestone, the DexScreener profile ("Token Enhancement Info"), is bought, the token shows DEX PAID on its page and in the lists.

Social creator fees

A launcher can send a token's creator fees to an X, Twitch, GitHub or Discord account instead of a wallet. Pootpad gives that account its own escrow address and records it as the creator. The fees are held for the account (in the fee vault on Robinhood Chain); nothing is paid to anyone until the account's owner claims.

The launcher chose the account, not its owner. Until the owner claims, the token page marks the account not affiliated with Pootpad, and every token shows the wallet that launched it.

Claiming as the account's owner

  1. Open Claim and log in with the account.
  2. Connect the wallet that should receive the fees and sign a message proving it is yours.
  3. Pootpad offers each token's creator role to that wallet.
  4. Accept and claim what is owed. From then on the fees go straight to your wallet.

On Solana you log in and link a Solana wallet; the token's escrow then pays it with the hourly payouts.

The 10-day and 30-day rules

10 days. A token whose fees go to a social account can't be taken over in its first 10 days, so the owner has time to hear about it and claim. After 10 days with nothing claimed, holders can apply for a takeover.

30 days. Creator fees still unclaimed 30 days after they were earned move to that token's marketing budget. Newer fees stay reserved for the owner. If the token is taken over before the owner claimed, the fees earned until then wait for the owner for 30 days after the takeover, then go to the marketing budget too.

Takeovers

If a creator walks away, holders who keep the token alive can apply to receive its creator fees. This is the one place Pootpad calls it a CTO (community takeover).

Applying

  • A wallet holding at least 1,000,000 of the token.
  • A post from your X account with the exact verification text the form gives you (@pootcoinxyz verify fee application <token> <code>), plus a link to a post showing your work for the token and up to 3 more links.
  • A few answers about the creator, the community and your plans, the wallet to pay, and a signature.

Apply from the "Apply for creator fees (CTO)" link at the bottom of the token's details. The team reviews every application by hand; you can follow its status in your Portfolio.

Notice, acceptance and what moves

  1. If an application is approved, Pootpad proposes the new wallet on-chain. The token page shows a banner with a countdown.
  2. A notice period runs: 24 hours on mainnet. During it the proposal can be cancelled, for example if the creator turns out to be active.
  3. After the notice, the new wallet has 7 days to accept. From then on it receives every new creator fee.

On Solana the same review and 24-hour notice apply; the token's escrow then pays the new wallet (see Creator fees, social accounts and takeovers under Solana).

The backlog stays with the old creator. A takeover never moves fees already earned: the previous creator can claim them any time as legacy fees in their Portfolio (a social account's legacy fees follow the 30-day rule). If you are the current creator of a token with a proposal, the banner tells you it affects your fees.

Void proposals

A newer proposal for the same token replaces the open one and restarts the notice. If Pootpad replaces the wallet that proposes takeovers, every open proposal becomes void: it can no longer be accepted and is not shown, and a new proposal is needed.

Launching on Robinhood Chain

On Robinhood Chain the launch wizard has four steps. Nothing is sent until you confirm on the last one, and the whole launch is a single transaction.

1. Token details

Name (up to 64 bytes), ticker (up to 32 bytes), description (up to 1024 bytes), logo and links (website, X, Telegram, Discord, Farcaster; up to 256 bytes each). All of it is stored in the token contract forever and can't be edited later.

For the logo, upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF of up to 2 MB (Pootpad pins it to IPFS and uses its ipfs:// link), or paste an https:// or ipfs:// link yourself. A square image looks best.

2. Economics

  • Trade fee (tax): between 1% and 10%, charged in ETH on every buy and sell, forever. It can never be changed after launch.
  • Graduation target: how much ETH has to go into the pool before the token graduates. See Graduation.
  • Send creator fees to: your wallet (the default) or a social account (X, Twitch, GitHub or Discord, whichever are enabled). See Social creator fees.

3. Launch protection

For the first 15 seconds after launch every trade pays a 99% fee (the sniper fee), so bots that buy in the first block get almost nothing. After that everyone pays the token's normal fee.

Your own first buy is the exception: it runs inside the launch transaction at the normal fee. It is capped at 5% of the supply (50M tokens); ETH above the cap is refunded in the same transaction.

4. Review and launch

The review shows everything the transaction will do, including the token's address. The launch fee is 0 ETH right now. If an admin changes the launch settings while you're reviewing, the transaction is refused and the wizard asks you to confirm the new values.

What the launch transaction does

  • Deploys the token: 1,000,000,000 tokens, minted once. No mint function, no owner, no admin keys.
  • Opens its Uniswap v4 pool (ETH / token) with the Pootpad hook, which takes the trade fee. The liquidity is locked forever.
  • Registers the creator with the fee vault and, if you chose one, makes your first buy.
  • The wallet that sends the launch is the token's launcher; it pays, gets the first-buy tokens and any refund. Tokens are always labelled by their launcher.

Trading on Robinhood Chain

On Robinhood Chain, trades go through the Uniswap Universal Router straight to the token's pool. Quotes come from the Uniswap v4 quoter for the pool's exact state, fee included.

Buying

Enter the ETH to spend, or tap the ticker next to the amount to enter an exact number of tokens instead (you then pay at most the quoted ETH plus slippage; unused ETH comes back). Max keeps 0.0005 ETH for gas. The presets are set in Trade settings.

Selling

The amount in the box is exactly what will be sold, read from your on-chain balance without rounding up. 100% and Max sell your balance rounded-sm down to whole tokens, so a fraction of a token stays in your wallet (with less than one token, they round down to 4 decimals). The other percentages round down to 2 decimals.

Your first sale of a token also needs two approvals. The Approve & sell button runs everything in one click; your wallet asks you to confirm each part:

  1. Approve once (a transaction): lets Permit2, Uniswap's approval contract, move this token for you. Once per token, ever.
  2. Allow the router for 30 days. With a regular wallet this is a free signature (no gas) sent inside the sell transaction, used within 30 minutes. Smart-account wallets (including wallets upgraded with EIP-7702) and wallets that can't sign these messages get a normal approval transaction instead, because their signatures aren't always accepted on-chain.
  3. Sell: the transaction. For the next 30 days a sale of this token is just this step.

Wallets that can batch transactions (EIP-5792) do all three in a single confirmation, and nothing happens unless all three go through. If a signature is refused on-chain, Pootpad switches to the approval transaction by itself and sells; you don't need to start again.

The quote

You receive / You pay
The quoted amount, with its dollar value.
Fee
The token's trade fee in ETH for this trade (the sniper fee inside the sniper window).
Price impact
How far this trade moves the price. Amber above 5%, red above 15%.
Min received / Max spent
The worst case your slippage setting allows. If the price moves further, the trade is refused and nothing is spent.

When a trade fails

Failed trades show what to do: the price moved beyond your slippage (raise it or retry), not enough tokens for the amount, an expired or already-used Permit2 signature (sign again), the pool can't fill the whole amount at once (try less), the deadline passed, or you cancelled in the wallet. A trade that would fail is stopped before it is sent, so it costs nothing.

Graduation on Robinhood Chain

On Solana, see Launch on Pootpad (Meteora) and Launch on Pump.fun for how graduation works there. On Robinhood Chain each pool is shaped like a bonding curve: 80% of the supply is sold along the curve and the rest sits in the pool above it. As ETH comes in, the price climbs the curve. When the ETH that went into the pool reaches the token's graduation target, the price crosses the graduation line and the token graduates.

Nothing moves when that happens: the same Uniswap v4 pool keeps trading, and its liquidity stays locked forever. On the home page, tokens below 30% of their target are under New, from 30% under Graduating, and graduated tokens under Graduated.

Fees on Robinhood Chain

Solana fees are under Where the fee goes (Meteora) and Payouts. On Robinhood Chain the trade fee is always paid in ETH, on the ETH side of every buy and sell, and split the moment the trade happens:

50% creator fees
Paid to the token's creator, who can claim them at any time.
20% marketing
The token's own marketing budget, spent on its milestones.
30% platform
Keeps Pootpad running.

The fee waits in the fee vault until it is paid out. Only the creator can claim the creator share. The marketing and platform shares can only go to two fixed addresses; anyone may trigger that payout, and a creator's claim pays them too.

Claiming on Robinhood Chain

On Solana, creator fees are paid out every hour (see Payouts). On Robinhood Chain, if you receive a token's creator fees, its page shows Your creator fees and your Portfolio lists it under Creator fees. Claim sends the whole unclaimed creator share to your wallet in one transaction (it also pays out the token's marketing and platform shares).

Handing off creator fees

From the Portfolio you can offer the creator role to another wallet. You keep receiving fees until that wallet accepts, and you can cancel before it does. When it accepts, it becomes the creator and takes the unclaimed balance with it (claim first if you want to keep it).

Robinhood Chain contracts

Pootpad's own contracts. Swaps use Uniswap's standard contracts (PoolManager, Universal Router, Permit2) on Robinhood Chain.

Robinhood Chain (mainnet)chain ID 4663 · Pootpad v3.1 · this site

The launch entry point. Checks the metadata, trade fee, graduation target and the settings version you reviewed, deploys the token with its fixed supply, has the locker open the pool, and registers the token's creator (who receives the creator fees). It also holds the admin settings for future launches (fee and target ranges, sniper window, launch fee, pause).

Creates each token's Uniswap v4 pool and holds its liquidity position with no way to withdraw it: the liquidity is locked forever. It runs the launcher's first buy inside the launch transaction (up to 5% of the supply) and refunds any ETH above that cap.

Receives every trade fee in ETH, in the same transaction as the trade, and splits it 50% creator / 20% marketing / 30% platform. Creators claim here; hand-offs, takeovers (with their notice period) and legacy balances live here too. The marketing and platform shares can only be paid to two fixed addresses.

FAQ

Can the creator pull the liquidity or mint more tokens?

No. The supply is fixed at launch with no mint authority and no owner. On Solana a Pootpad token's liquidity moves into two permanently locked positions when it graduates; on Robinhood Chain the locker holds the pool's liquidity forever. Pump.fun coins follow Pump.fun's own rules.

Can the trade fee change?

No. It is set at launch and fixed forever; only the 15-second sniper window charges more.

Why did 100% leave a little in my wallet?

100% and Max sell whole tokens only, so the fraction below one token stays. Type the exact amount if you want to sell it too.

Why do I sign a message before my first sale on Robinhood Chain?

That is the Permit2 allowance for the Uniswap router: free, valid for 30 days, and sent together with the sale, so you don't pay for a second approval transaction. Smart-account wallets get an approval transaction instead, or a single batched confirmation when the wallet supports it.

A token disappeared from the list

Moderators can hide reported tokens from the feed and search. The token page still loads with a notice, and the contract keeps trading on-chain: nobody can stop that. Use Report at the bottom of a token's details to flag scams, impersonation or offensive content.

Is any of this financial advice?

No. Tokens launched here are created by anyone. Trade at your own risk.
